Bill Clinton 'to pick up €195,000' for Limerick appearance

The former US President Bill Clinton is in Ireland today for an awards ceremony at the University of Limerick.

The event is strictly invitation only, with 600 guests due to attend. Parts of UL are no-go areas for the duration of the visit.

Mr Clinton will present 125 students with bursaries at the JP McManus All Ireland Scholarship awards.

Mr McManus asked Mr Clinton to speak at this year's awards. The speculation is that the former US President will be paid €195,000 for his time.
