Belfast pensioners charged in Edward Gibson murder probe
Two pensioners have been charged in connection with the murder of a man in Belfast last year.
Edward Gibson, 28, was shot in the thigh and stomach near Divis Tower in West Belfast on October 24 2014.
The father of one died in hospital.
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s serious crime branch have charged a 68-year-old man and a woman aged 70 with assisting an offender and failing to produce information.
They are due to appear in court next month.
PSNI spokesman said the charges are subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.
One man has previously been charged with Mr Gibson’s murder.
