Beaumont Hospital opens revamped cancer treatment facility

Improved facilities to treat cancer patients have been opened at the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

The refurbishment and reconfiguration represents an increase in investment of €750,000 for cancer care.

The new facility has been built to deal with the huge demand for chemotherapy treatments as well as treatment of patients with haematological cancers.

Last year, around 14,000 such treatments were provided in the hospital.
