Bankruptcy status of Priory Hall developer overturned

The High Court in London has overturned the bankruptcy status of Tom McFeeley, the controversial developer of the Priory Hall complex in Dublin

Theresa McGuinness, who claims Mr McFeeley owes her €300,000, brought the appeal after he was declared bankrupt in January.

She argued that she had already begun bankruptcy proceedings against him after he failed to pay a court order against his company.

The court will now decide whether he should be declared bankrupt in the UK or here in Ireland, where bankruptcy laws are much stricter.
