Bank of Ireland staff 'seeking wage increase'

Staff at Bank of Ireland are looking for an increase in wages and performance pay hikes, according to the Sunday Business Post.

The paper reports that more than 10,000 staff are in talks over a new pay deal.

Staff want a single-digit pay rise and a better deal on the performance part of their pay, following a rise in the bank's profitability over the past year.

They received an increase of 1.75% in 2014 and 2% this year as part of the current pay deal.
