Badly decomposed body discovered in Carrick-on-Shannon
17/03/2006 - 19:22:46A body has been found in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim this afternoon.
The discovery was made by local youths shortly after 3pm near the People’s Park in the town.
The badly decomposed remains are thought to be those of a local man missing since last August, but this has not been confirmed by the Gardai.
The state pathologist has been notified and a full Garda investigation is underway.
