Even the recent bad spell of weather couldn't dampen spirits in Dublin last night as thousands celebrated the start of 2016 by dancing in the streets.
Some 1,500 drummers smashed the world record for the largest-ever assembly of bodhrán players.
Meanwhile, Le Galaxie, All Tvvins and Wyvern Lingo played at the Street Fest on St Stephen's Green.
