Even the recent bad spell of weather couldn't dampen spirits in Dublin last night as thousands celebrated the start of 2016 by dancing in the streets.

In Limerick, The O'Malleys hosted an eclectic New Year concert at Dolan's Warehouse.

In Dingle, there was a fireworks display, followed by a procession led by the Dingle Fife and Drum Band.
