A 23-year-old Australian man has been found guilty of a one-punch assault that killed Irishman Thomas Keaney in Perth.

A 23-year-old Australian man has been found guilty of a one-punch assault that killed Irishman Thomas Keaney in Perth.

Abbas Al Jrood was accused of unlawfully killing the 23-year-old from Galway outside a kebab shop in December 2013.

ABC news reports Al Jrood punched Mr Keaney in the back of the head after an argument over a chair.

He died days later in hospital.

Al Jrood was found guilty of manslaughter and remanded in custody until a sentencing hearing in July.
