A viable device has been found outside a house in Co. Louth.

Army makes safe device found outside house in Louth

A viable device has been found outside a house in Co. Louth.

The discovery was made by a member of the public in the Moneymore area of Drogheda this afternoon.

The Army Bomb Disposal team arrived at the scene at around 2pm and a number of homes were evacuated.

The viable improvised explosive device was made safe without the need for a controlled explosion and it is now been taken away for further examination.
