Army disposes of explosive device in Limerick


The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable improvised explosive device in Limerick city.

The device was found in an apartment complex on Cecil Street at around 11.30am this morning.

The device was made safe within an hour without the need for a controlled explosion.

It has been removed for further technical examination.
