Army called into Cork school after chemical find


An Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a quantity of an unstable chemical at a school in Charleville, Co Cork.

The team was called out by gardaí to the CBS secondary school in Bakers' Lane shortly after 3pm today.

The chemical, which was found in the school lab during a routine audit, was removed to waste ground and blown up.
