The army bomb squad has been called to a house in Stillorgan, Dublin this evening.

The army bomb squad has been called to a house in Stillorgan, Dublin this evening.

It is understood a device was found during the course of renovation works at the property.

The device - which has yet to be formally identified - is said to be historical in nature.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and Gardaí have been called to the scene as a precaution.
