Armed raid at Dunshaughlin BoI branch

Two bank robbers, armed with a shotgun and a knife made off with an undisclosed sum of money after holding-up staff at a branch of the Bank of Ireland in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath at 3pm this afternoon.

Both culprits, who were wearing motor cycle helmets, made off on a motorbike which was found a short distance away at College Park, Dunshaughlin.

Both are believed to have then transferred to a green Toyota car.

One of the culprits is described as being 56 tall with a thin face who spoke with a Dublin accent.

Anyone with information is asked to contract Ashbourne or Dunshaughlin Garda stations.
