Anti-water charge protesters burn bills at Dublin rally

Anti-water charge protesters have been burning their bills at a protest rally outside the GPO in Dublin today.

Hundreds have taken part in a march through the city, calling for water charges to be abolished.

Earlier, anti-water charge campaigners from around the country gathered at Heuston and Connolly stations before marching down the quays.

Demonstrators put their bills in two large metal bins before they were set alight, in front of the GPO on O'Connell Street.

One man who said he had burned his bill at a previous rally said the rally was to try to keep the momentum going through the summer months.
