Anti-austerity march attracts thousands of demonstrators

Up to 10,000 people are currently protesting in Dublin City Centre this afternoon calling on the Government not to impose any more cuts or taxes in December's Budget.

Up to 10,000 people are currently protesting in Dublin City Centre this afternoon calling on the Government not to impose any more cuts or taxes in December's Budget.

The demonstration began in Parnell Street at lunchtime, and is due to finish up on O'Connell Street outside the GPO.

As a result, a number of roads have been closed to traffic in the area.
