Now ARAN's efforts to save more animals will see them take part in International Fur Free Friday.

Activists will confront shoppers on Dublin's Grafton Street this morning holding the dead bodies of skinned foxes.

In a statement, thr group said; "As part of International Fur Free Friday, four members of ARAN wearing all black and holding the dead bodies of skinned, bloody foxes, will confront shoppers on O’Connell Street today before joining other protesters at Barnardo Furs on Grafton Street.

"The activists will alsohold signs reading, ‘Here’s The Rest of Your Fur Coat’. Their point? That there’s nothing fashionable about wearing the skins of tormented, tortured animals."

Their spokesperson John Carmody admits the shock-tactics could upset passing children, but believes they are justified.

"This may be graphic and gory," he admitted, "(but) the reality is these animals are suffering on Irish fur farms...We're trying to bring attention to the horrific cruelty that's most often hidden."
