Anglo investigations 'to conclude early next year', court hears

Several investigations into the affairs of Anglo Irish Bank should conclude by early next year, the Commercial Court has heard today.

It is expected that all files will be sent to the DPP by the end of March who will then decide whether to bring any criminal prosecutions.

The Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement has been given more time to carry out its investigative work having highlighted difficulties accessing encrypted electronic material at the bank.
