Anglo executives Drumm and FitzPatrick asked to appear before Banking Inquiry

There are doubts about whether former Anglo executives David Drumm and Sean FitzPatrick will comply with requests to appear before the Banking Inquiry.

It emerged last night that the Committee has called both men to appear before its members next month.

Former Anglo chief executive David Drumm is now resident in the United States - where he is not subject to compellability orders from the Inquiry.

Anglo's former chairman Sean FitzPatrick faces trial in October over the alleged failure to disclose the value of loans worth millions of euro to the bank's auditors.
