Almost half of the 949 seats on local authorities around the county have now been filled.

Independents and Others have taken 106 seats so far.

Fianna Fáil have secured 104 seats - while Sinn Féin at present holds 98.

Fine Gael currently hold 83 seats and Labour have 21.

The count is continuing.
