Aid plane set to leave Dublin for Haiti

An Aer Lingus A330 aircraft is to fly to the Dominican Republic within the next hour with much-needed medical and food supplies for earthquake survivors in Haiti.

The flight, which has been organised in co-operation with the Irish aid agency GOAL, will also bring 15 doctors and volunteers to Haiti.

The 25 tonnes of aid will be delivered by GOAL workers directly to the families in most need.
