Agri payments for cattle and sheep farming discussion groups begins
Payments worth a total of €9m under the Beef, Sheep and Dairy Discussion programmes will begin shortly.
Dairy participants will receive €1,000 while sheep and beef farmers will get €825.
The Minister for Agriculture, Simon Coveney, is urging farmers to participate in the schedule of meetings and events next year, to safeguard their payments under the 2014 programme
He also said involvement in the scheme would ensure the transfer of knowledge and skills that will ultimately benefit everyone in the industry.
