Aer Lingus talks end stalemate as staff restored to duties

There has been a breakthrough in the Aer Lingus cabin crew roster row, which could see an end to flight disruption at the airline.

The IMPACT trade union says industrial action is being suspended and the company is to restore cabin crew to normal duties.

Both of those developments are pending the outcome of a binding arbitration from the Labour Relations Commission, which is expected in the coming days.

The company will also delete the records of disciplinary action taken against staff because of the industrial action.

The breakthrough comes after talks between cabin crew and management at the airline continued overnight.
