Talks aimed at averting strike action at Aer Lingus broke up without resolution in the early hours of this morning.
The airline has said it is considering what contingency plans can be put in place ahead of disruption from Tuesday if the industrial action goes ahead.
The breakdown of talks at the LRC makes uncertain the travel plans of up to 30,000 Aer Lingus passengers per day.
The dispute centres over a row around rostering.
Pilots have said that from Tuesday they will not work on rostered free days or annual leave days, and will report for duty one hour later than their rostered reporting times.
Aer Lingus said the action would destroy its ability to operate a proper schedule.
In a statement, the airline thanked the LRC and says it will now consider what contingency plans can be put in place for its customers.
Passengers can change their flights through the Aer Lingus website. The airline has confirmed there will be no charge for that service.
