Nobody has been arrested or charged in relation to his death.

Earlier today, Garda Commissioner Nóirín O'Sullivan attended a memorial Mass for Garda Donohoe at St Joseph's Church in Dundalk.

She said very significant progress had been made in the investigation into the murder, and that the force needed to get things "100% right" before those responsible could be brought to justice.

Garda Donohoe's widow Caroline, their two children, colleagues and the community of Bellurgan attended today's memorial Mass.
