Adams reiterates call for release of Shankill bomber
18/07/2005 - 13:58:51Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has reiterated his call on the British government to free Shankill bomber Sean Kelly.
Mr Kelly was re-imprisoned last month after Northern Secretary Peter Hain revoked his licence for early release under the Good Friday Agreement.
Speaking after a meeting with Mr Hain today, Mr Adams said no evidence had yet been presented to show why the IRA man was sent back to jail.
The Sinn Féin president also said the upcoming IRA statement on the paramilitary group's future intentions was not discussed during today's talks at Stormont.
