Abbey Theatre prepares for expansion
The Abbey Theatre in Dublin has purchased a building adjacent to its existing theatre to allow for its redevelopment.
The building - at 15 to 17 Eden Quay - faces the river Liffey.
The Director of the Abbey, Fiach Mac Conghail, said that they purchased the site so that they can develop - at some point in the future - a new building for the Abbey, on their own site.
He said purchasing the site is a common-sense solution to securing its future.
