Customs officers have today seized 90,000 contraband cigarettes from a number of passengers at Dublin Airport.

Customs officers have today seized 90,000 contraband cigarettes from a number of passengers at Dublin Airport.

The seizure was made as part of an intelligence-led operation against a Lithuanian-based gang.

Thirteen people who had arrived on a flight from Lithuania were arrested, but were later released without charge pending instructions from the DPP.
