52 people have been arrested as part of an organised crime crackdown in Kilkenny and Carlow today.

52 arrested as drugs, fireworks and weapons seized

52 people have been arrested as part of an organised crime crackdown in Kilkenny and Carlow today.

Drugs, fireworks and weapons were seized during searches of 22 premises in South Kilkenny and Tullow.

The crackdown, which is part of Operation Thor, saw 11 people charged with burglary, theft and possession of drugs.

Several others are expected to be charged and to appear in court at a later date.
