500 homes still without power as ESB work on problem

500 homes across the country are still without power following storms on St Stephen's day.

ESB Network Technicians are working to restore electricity - with the south-west of the country worst affected.

The power supplier says it hopes to have all damage to the network fixed by later today.

Dan Foley is from Clonshire Equestrian Centre in Adare Co. Limerick - they're now into their fourth day without power.

He said there is no light, power nor heat, and the local community is ensuring that old-age pensioners have firewood and candles.
