American online polling company Survey Monkey is to create 50 new jobs in Dublin.

The jobs will be created over the next 12 months and they will relocate some of their staff from Portugal to Ireland.

The company is looking for account management, customer support and recruitment staff, a process which is understood to have already begun.

Survey Monkey claims to be the world's biggest online polling company with more than 2m people a day filling in its questionnaires.

The jobs plan is being backed by the IDA and will be officially announced in the next few days.
