€29m collected from tax defaulters
12/03/2010 - 16:02:03The taxman collected almost €29m from tax defaulters in the final three months of last year.
There were 88 settlements during the period, 11 of which related to investigations into offshore funds.
Nine settlements were made by bogus non-resident account holders, while 17 settlements were due to investigations into single premium insurance products.
