The number of people on the Live Register is at its lowest level in almost 9 years.

Latest figures from the CSO show there was a drop of 3000 people signing on last month to 257,000.

The Live Register includes part-time workers and seasonal and casual staff entitled to Jobseeker’s Benefit or Jobseeker’s Allowance.
