2,500 more signed on last month
Last month saw a jump of more than 2,500 in the number of people signing on.
The Live Register increased by 0.6% in October, bringing the seasonally adjusted total to 447,100.
According to the Central Statistics Office, the standardised unemployment rate has now hit 14.4%, an increase of 0.1% on last month's figure.
