Thousands arrive in Stradbally as Electric Picnic kicks off
Thousands of people have already arrived at the Electric Picnic venue in Co Laois for the annual three-day music and arts event at the Stradbally Hall estate.
More than 30,000 festival-goers are set to attend the event.
Gardaí and AA Roadwatch say traffic in and around Stradbally is heavy but moving well. Conditions are mostly dry so far.
The first of the acts have begun performing on the 17 stages. Tonight's line-up will include performances from Sigur Ros, Ed Sheeran and Christy Moore among many others.
