'Take Me Out' back for two seasons

The UK version of 'Take Me Out' will return for two more seasons.

The ITV dating show - presented by Paddy McGuinness - has been renewed by the channel along with its spin-off show 'Take Me Out: The Gossip'.

McGuinness said: "I'm looking forward to warming up those winter nights with some hot dates."

Suzy Lamb, head of entertainment at production company Thames, added: "We're delighted to be returning and proud that ITV see the series as a key part of their primetime schedules.

"To date, 'Take Me Out' has produced three engagements, with possibly more to come - almost a better hit rate than most online dating websites."

The show, which first aired in 2010, features 30 single girls who judge a single guy and vote by turning on or off their lights.

'Take Me Out: The Gossip' launched alongside the main show's third series earlier this year and presenters Mark Wright and Zoe Hardman are set to return as hosts.

It has become ITV2's third most-popular series behind 'Celebrity Juice' and Wright's former show 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
