Smashing Pumpkins frontman pulling no punches in autobiography

Billy Corgan is writing his autobiography.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman has promised to give a truthful account of his life in the band - of which he is the only remaining original member - including addressing the tensions between himself and former bandmates D'Arcy Wretzky, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin.

He said: "I'm about 75% through. It explains some of the dynamic between us more accurately, but even then it's just my take on it."

Corgan also branded former guitarist Iha a "piece of s**t" but insisted he has no resentment towards Wretzky or Chamberlin, even though the drummer released a damning statement when he quit the group for the second time in 2009.

He added to NME magazine: "I'm OK with Jimmy. We don't have a relationship at the moment but I mean, I have no ill will.

"I want to see him do well. James Iha I think Is just a piece of s**t. I think he's one of the worst human beings I've ever met in my life.

"And D'Arcy, she's sort of, in her own way, sort of an innocent. She's not a bad person."
