Seyfried linked to role in new MacFarlane flick

Amanda Seyfried is being lined up for a role in Seth MacFarlane's new film 'A Million Ways To Die In The West'.

The 'Family Guy' creator is busy working on his next big screen project, a comedy western, and he has earmarked a part for the 'Les Miserables' star.

The story focuses on a cowardly and luckless farmer - played by MacFarlane - who is dumped by his girlfriend when he ducks out of a gunfight. Seyfried is wanted to play the girlfriend.

To try and win back his lover, the farmer enlists the help of an outlaw's wife - played by Charlize Theron - to teach him how to shoot but he ends up falling for his teacher, much to the displeasure of her criminal husband.

MacFarlane has co-written the script with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild - who he worked with on hit comedy film 'Ted' - and he will also direct the project. Shooting is due to begin in May.

MacFarlane is currently busy preparing to host the 85th Oscars on Sunday February 24th, while Seyfried can next be seen in 'The Big Wedding'.
