Robbie Williams wants an OBE.

The ‘Candy’ singer admitted he is jealous that his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow received the prestigious accolade for his services to the entertainment industry and charity and Robbie would love to get one too.

According to The Sun newspaper, he said: “Queen Elizabeth has seen me perform a number of times now.

“I was at the Jubilee concert, singing my little heart out. Then last week, at the Royal Variety Performance, I sang the new single. Pretty well I might add.

“In the line-up at the end, there I am, waiting for a compliment. Gary Barlow OBE. Robbie Williams? Nothing.”

Gary was behind the triumphant Diamond Jubilee concert - staged at the palace during a special bank holiday weekend in June - which featured a host of stars including Stevie Wonder, Sir Paul McCartney and Robbie who played to the queen and a televised audience of millions.

He also co-wrote the single 'Sing' - which celebrated the queen's 60 years on the throne - with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, which topped the UK singles chart.
