Pink provides musical therapy
Pop punk Pink was left heart-broken when she received a letter from a fan suffering sexual abuse at the hands of a family member - but was comforted to learn her music provides the teenager with a form of escape.
The Just Like A Pill hitmaker has always used music as a therapeutic release when she's experienced bad times, and gets pleasure from knowing her music eases her fans' pain.
She says: "One girl wrote to say, 'I live with grandfather, my mother just died, and he was raping her and now he's raping me. I don't know what to do and if it wasn't for your music I would kill myself. What do you suggest?'
"I was speechless. Can I take you out of your home? Can I kill your grandfather?
"What can I do? Call the authorities. Write it down and get it out in the open.
"As far as I'm concerned, songs, music and poetry have always been my therapy."
