Peter O'Toole shines in Becket

Richard Burton and Peter O’Toole played two magnificent roles in Becket (Second Sight, €24.99) as King Henry II and his friend Archbishop Thomas Becket clash over religion and the role of the state.

A majestic film which scooped 12 Oscar nominations, it has now been remastered thanks to Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation.

As a study in friendship, politics and betrayal, this is a uniquely rewarding film.
