New game show for Skinner

Frank Skinner and Sue Perkins will host the new gameshow 'Trust Me I'm A Game Show Host'.

The comedian and 'Great British Bake Off' presenter have teamed up to present the new ITV show that sees the pair deliver a series of bizarre facts to a contestant who then identifies whether Sue, 44 or Frank, 57, is telling the truth.

The series - which has already become popular in the US with comedians DL Hughley and Michael Ian Black fronting the gameshow - offers the participants cash prizes for guessing correctly, reports The Daily Star newspaper.

Meanwhile, Frank has also been offered a role in BBC sci-fi drama 'Doctor Who' after reportedly hounding the show's writers for a part on the series.

Mark Gatiss, one of the script writers, told The Sun newspaper: "I'm delighted he'll be in the show. He's a very good actor and he's a huge fan.

"He must be over the moon - he's been dropping enough hints! He's the number one fan. He's the Doctor's stalker."

Frank, 57, will appear in an episode of the upcoming eighth series which will be written by 'Being Human' scribe Jamie Mathieson.

Series eight of the show - which will also see Peter Capaldi take over the role of the titular Time Lord - will begin airing in August.
