Ewan McGregor was left utterly dumbfounded when he turned up at the world's leading 'Star Wars' destination in a T-shirt bearing his name, and no one bothered him.

The Scottish actor, who played Obi Wan-Kenobi in the three 'Star Wars' prequels, feared he'd be mobbed when he visited a tourist attraction in Tunisia, where George Lucas filmed a pivotal scene in the first 'Star Wars' movie, during his 2007 'Long Way Down' motorbike trek.

But, even though he was wearing a T-shirt with his name on the back, sci-fi devotees refused to believe McGregor would just show up on a bike - and left him alone.

He tells Best Life magazine: "We went to the location used in the original Star Wars, where we meet Luke Skywalker and he buys R2-D2 and C-3PO and does them up in the oil bath. It has been preserved as a tourist attraction.

"Now, who goes to a place like that but a hardcore Star Wars fan? Anyway, we (McGregor and fellow Long Way Down adventurer Charley Boorman) drive up and I'm standing next to my face on a poster and I'm wearing a jersey that says `McGregor' on the back... and nobody looked twice. It was quite hilarious, actually."
