Pegg to publish autobiography

British actor Simon Pegg has signed a reported $1.8m (€1.3m) deal to pen his memoirs.

The 'Hot Fuzz' star has signed a deal with publishers Hodder & Stoughton to release his autobiography, plus two more books.

A spokesman for the publishing house said: "Pegg writes for us but somehow the films appeal to America too. He is our biggest export. I don't think there is any British actor of his ilk who has been so successful."
