Michael's £1m (€1.27m) Arabian gig
Pop star George Michael has reportedly signed a £1m (€1.27m) deal to perform at a lavish Abu Dhabi hotel next month - despite recently staging a series of "retirement" shows.
The singer performed at London's Earl Court in August in a set of final concerts dubbed 'The Final Two' - fuelling speculation he is to quit performing.
But the star doesn't seem able to step away from the spotlight just yet - he has allegedly agreed to play a gig at the £3bn (€3.82bn) Emirate Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi in November.
According to the 'Daily Mirror' newspaper, tickets to the show are expected to be sold for £200 (€255) each.
The gig could be seen as a career lifeline for Michael, who was forced to apologise to fans last month following his arrest for drugs possession in London - his second in as many years.
