Manager: 'Guns N' Roses new album is a masterpiece'

Guns N' Roses' manager has likened the band's long-awaited new album 'Chinese Democracy' to Michaelangelo's masterpiece on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

The LP has been 14 years in the making and cost millions of dollars for frontman Axl Rose to produce.

It's finally due to hit stores next month, and Guns N' Roses manager Andy Gould insists it is well worth the wait.

Gould tells EW.com: "Art and commerce have always made strange bedfellows. When they asked Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel, they didn't say: 'Can you do it in the fourth quarter?' so they can make their numbers. Great art sometimes takes time."
