Look Matilda and Lavender had a reunion

Remember these best friends from the 1996 movie, Matilda? Well, they had a little reunion and apparently still hang out.

Mara Wilson, who played Matilda and Kiami Davael, who played Lavender shared their lunch date reunion snap on Twitter.

And it just makes us smile, especially when you picture them back in the day.

You might remember Mara (27) from movies such as Miracle on 34th Street and Mrs Doubtfire.

In 2013, she announced she was giving up acting and went on to study at New York University. She is currently a writer - @Mariawritesstuff - and has just recently signed a book deal with Penguin.

Kiami (28) went on to earn a psychology degree.

The cast of Matilda also had a reunion back in 2013, where they re-enacted famous scenes such as Ms Trunchbull swinging little Amanda around by her braids.

And when she forced poor Bruce Bogtrotter to eat an entire cake.

“Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce”.

We'll take these re-enactments, but if we wish hard enough Mara might have a go at this famous scene.

It was real, right?
