Longoria shines a light on others
05/08/2006 - 20:22:43Eva Longoria never wants to outshine lesser stars than herself on the red carpet, because she remembers how embarrassing it was when photographers used to ignore her as an up-and-coming star.
The Desperate Housewives actress often guides snappers away from herself in a bid to let everyone get their share of the limelight.
She says: "I feel really bad sometimes because if there's a newcomer on the red carpet and I get out of the car, the photographers are all shouting, 'Eva!'
"And I'm saying, 'No, there's somebody else there. Take her picture.'
"I know how it feels. I used to be that person being ignored on the red carpet, when the photographers would all surround Jennifer Lopez or Johnny Depp!"
