Kidman's bathing suit auctioned for cows
10/02/2008 - 11:42:53A bathing suit worn by actress Nicole Kidman is set to raise thousands of dollars (pounds) for disadvantaged families in India.
The swimsuit, left behind by the star at a Swedish pool in 2002, is on display at a second-hand shop in Esloev, Sweden and will be sold to the highest bidder on Saturday.
Owner Zlatko Nedanovski purchased the swimsuit for $840 (€579) from a local radio station but decided to donate the swimsuit to aid organisation Erikshjaelpen, which will use proceeds to purchase cows for Indian farmers.
Nedanovski says: "I have been in possession of this bathing suit for more than five years and the time has come for me to pay my dues, for instance through a charitable project."
