Sheen to study in Galway
30/03/2005 - 12:11:51The West Wing star Martin Sheen plans to return to school when he quits the award-winning American TV series later this year.
Despite his hugely successful Hollywood career, Sheen - who plays fictional US President Josiah 'Jed' Bartlet in The West Wing - regrets that he never attained a full education when he was younger.
He says: "I want to go back to school. I never got my high school diploma and have always felt a need to address that.
"I'll be 65 this summer and have received a number of degrees, but no proper education since I started acting.
"My plan is to read English literature, philosophy and theology in Galway, Ireland, where my late mother came from and where I'm also a citizen."
