Gervais on form in 'The Invention of Lying'

Cast: Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Fionnula Flanagan, Tina Fey.

The talented Gervais, who also wrote this clever comedy, tries his hand at directing and makes an excellent behind-the-cameras debut.

He plays a man who finds himself in a parallel universe where telling lies is unknown to everybody but himself … something he puts to good use towards the lining of his pockets and the filling of his bed.

There is much to enjoy since the pace is excellent, the cast universally on form and the dialogue snappy and witty.
